45,000 Police Posts Vacant In Madhya Pradesh As Manpower Strength Trails Sanctioned Level Madhya Pradesh is grappling with a police manpower shortage, with officials estimating around 45,000 vacant posts. The state has 121.76 police personnel per lakh population against a sanctioned 147.23. The MHA has asked states to fill vacancies, while recruitment remains a state responsibility and a continuous process.
